Join us on Saturday, May 20, 2006 in one of the most exciting dance events in history. Teams will perform their signature hip-hop dance routine and compete in our intense battle mode segment of the show at the Symphony Space Theater in NYC www.symphonyspace.org. Teams will be coming from Harlem, Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn, Bronx, Connecticut, New Jersey, and more. Hosted by Comedian/Actor Capone and featuring a VIP reception hosted by the board of directors of the Universal Federation for the Preservation of Hip-Hop Culture; Afrika Bambatta, Grandmaster Caz and D.J. Tony Tone of the Cold Crush Brothers, Kurtis Blow, MC Pebble Poo, D.J.Disco Wiz, Pop Master Fabel, D.J. Yoda of the legendary Crash Crew, and many other hip-hop pioneers.

The Universal Federation for the Preservation of Hip-hop Culture, Inc. is a 501 (c) (3) tax-exempt non-profit institution founded in 2003. The organization's main goal is to create the National Center for the Study and Preservation of Hip Hop Culture to be located in the Bronx, the birthplace of Hip Hop. The Center will house the archives of the chronological evolution of Hip Hop culture. www.hiphopfederation.net.

Capone is the hottest comedian/host coming out of NYC. Capone is sure to become an Apollo Theater Legend as he currently serves as host for Amateur Night at the Apollo, Apollo on Tour and Showtime at the Apollo. He is also MC for the Wendy Williams Comedy Experience at The Laugh Factory and NY's Comedy at the Movies. In addition, he has performed on Comedy Central TV's ~ Comic Grove and many other venues throughout the world. Saturday March 11th in Charlotte, North Carolin

 

Charlotte, NC- World Wide Flava Television, Bo2 Productions and Enchanted PR, in collaboration with It's Cool to be Smart and the Single Parent Initiative will host the 2006 Southeastern Music Community Fest, Saturday March 11th in Charlotte, North Carolina. The Southeastern Music Community Fest is a one-day entertainment conference geared toward empowering and raising awareness for independent artists and aspiring entertainers on ‘How to Make It Happen in the Entertainment Industry.'

The Southeastern Music Community Fest will assist ‘It's Cool To Be Smart / Single Parent Initiative” in raising awareness and funds to support the rebuilding of the Boys and Girls Clubs / YMCA / YWCA's on the Gulf Coast affected by Hurricane Katrina, as well as, award a single-parent family that have a net income not exceeding $5,000 per year in the Charlotte area.

In addition to a host of A-list Producers, Managers, Promoters, Publicists, Urban Magazines, A&R Representatives, Program Directors, Radio Personalities and Entertainment Attorneys from Atlanta, Detroit, California, New York etc. The 2006 SMCF will honor Charlotte mayor Pro Tem Patrick Cannon for his contributions to the Charlotte community and his tenure as a City Councilman. Mayor Pro Tem will present the SMCF Contemporary Legend award to Charlotte native Anthony Hamilton, for his extraordinary accomplishments and contributions to the entertainment industry.

The Southeastern Music Community Fest (SMCF) will host over 20 original artists on stage at the Grady Cole Center, which is located at 301 N. Kings Drive, Charlotte, North Carolina. Showcasing at this event could be the most important performance of your career. This event will feature an afternoon of breakout sessions on “How To Make It In The Music Industry” and a Boys & Girls Club Music Appreciation discussion, celebrity artist(s) autograph session, showcase performances and Guud-Ez Urban and Sportswear Fashion segment (Enyce, RocaWear, Dickies,and Baby Phat) at the Grady Cole Center. Meet and learn from producers, managers, promoters, publicists, studio engineers, A&R executives, radio station programmers, songwriters, recording artists from the national and regional music industry. The panel is designed for maximum participation with direct questions and answers. The panel will be available for a one-on-one contact after the panel discussions.
